Dr. Yuhsi Wang, DAOM, L.Ac. is the Founder of Hope Acupuncture & Wellness Center. Her work sits at the intersection of classical Chinese medicine and modern clinical judgment, with a specialty focus in sports medicine, pain management, and fertility acupuncture.
Originally from Taiwan, she began her formal training at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine — the institution where modern acupuncture was systematically codified and standardized for the world. There she studied under Professor Tan Yong, a recognized authority in TCM gynecology and direct disciple of Master Xia Gui-Cheng, whose influence shaped her approach to classical diagnosis and her commitment to bridging tradition with modern clinical standards.
Her clinical internship at Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine placed her under Dr. Chiu — Chief of the Acupuncture Department and son of Master Acupuncturist Chiu Mao-Liang, author of China's official acupuncture textbook — where she developed particular depth in orthopedic acupuncture and pain management. She later earned her Master's degree from Texas Health and Science University and her Doctorate from Five Branches University.
In practice, Dr. Wang addresses chronic and acute pain, sports injuries, fertility and IVF acupuncture— an area in which she has conducted research — and a broad range of internal and emotional health conditions. Treatment at Hope is individualized and pattern-based, grounded in observation and patient response over time. She is direct about what medicine can and cannot promise, and measures success by real, lasting outcomes.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys CrossFit and strength training.
